thanks for the reply.I too think a 48" is the right size, however i would like to use the box for snow pushing. therefor a 60" would be my choice! i really would not be using it much for stripping and moving earth, it would be more of a unit for fine grade and snow pushing. again your thoughts invited.
I’ve used a 48 on a BX for 8 years. Done yard regrading, driveway profiles, snow pushing and pulling....favorite implement.
While a 54 will gain some width, a 60 is too big. Depending on light/medium/heavy duty, a 60 may be all your tractor wants to pull, even empty. I’m certain I wouldn’t/couldn’t use a 60 BB without my loader on for weight. I use my 48 all the time that way.
It will extend outside your wheelbase enough where you could hit stuff if not paying attention.
I use mine a lot. Sometimes I wish it was 54. Never 60.
Get a 60” back blade for snow. Can often be found used for cheap if you move quickly on an internet sale. Angled will cover your tracks and can push/pull in both directions.
