Since I finished the pasture last week, I made my way to the field I hunt and did a little more cutting to open up my shooting area. I had planned to push some trees out of the field with the FEL, but it turned out to be more difficult than I was expecting. I had already started and ended up getting 5 trees, with the biggest being 5" across. By the time I had made it to the 3rd tree, I had figured out a system to get them out, but it still took about 20 minutes per tree to get the tap root and level the ground back. I stopped and proceeded to make a few more cutting laps. I also moved a few large rocks out of the field so it will be easier to plant/mow next time. I figured I was looking at the top of rocks that were attached to the rest of the field, but they turned out to be 4-6" thick, with the biggest being about 3'x5'.
I finished up and went down the road 1.5 miles and visited a friend. By the time I got back, the land owner had a tree cut down that was leaning over his pond and partially in it. We hooked up chains and I pulled it over to flat ground so he could finish cutting it up another day. He was happy because he doesn't have to fish around it any more and will lose less lures now. I finished the day out by washing the Kubota and Land Pride cutter. It look almost new again.
