OK , well I guess I am officially old! I went to hoist a fuel can up to fill the wee beasty and found out I aint 21 no more. So with that in mind, what kinds of pumps, hand crank, or electric is anyone using. Yep I did have a barrel set on its side raised up and used gravity but I found I cant the the cans up that high any more either,,, Sucks getting old ,,,, Here is what I was thinking. like maybe a HF dolly with a piece of ply screwed on it and maybe a strap to hold a small plastic barrel so it dont move or fall off, and a hand crank pump (a cheep one). BUT hey I am open to all ideas.

It has a hand crank so to fill it from your transfer jugs you just turn the handle the other way to suck fuel out of the jugs. I don’t have forks so a smaller unit I can place in my truck was out of the question.

Damnit Skeets, I've been thinking the same thing.

Hokie, I've been looking at that thing. I think the thing that turns me off the most is the speed. IIRC, it's something like 2gpm... It would take 5 minutes just to fill the dang tank... That's pretty darn slow. And I don't think I could trust the automatic shut-off.
Let us know how it works.

skeets - I can relate.

I don't have an issue with the Kubota BX and diesel, but have problems with the old 'Moline and gasoline.....

I think the MM has a 15-20 gallon tank. I can easily heft 5 gallons up onto the top, but it's a bear to pour..... that wasn't an issue at age 25 and filling up before a day of firewood....

Are these battery pumps that you guys post safe/usable for gasoline?

Here's a po boy's method. Rig an extended hose on the fuel jug with a clamp on the end. Put the jug, tilted over, in your loader bucket and raise it higher than your tank. Put the hose in the tank and remove the clamp.
Note: I've never done this but it's not an original idea. Of course if you've run the tank dry this won't help.

Gravity suction is definitely another option. Just takes significantly longer.

I have been using one of these for a couple of years now. In fact, I liked the first one so much, I bought another. So now I have one for the gas cans and one for the diesel cans.

Comes complete with an automatic shut off that kills the pump when the fuel level gets to the nozzle tip. No more spilling starting and no more overflowing at the end.

Skeets here's something you might be able to fab up and make pumping fuel easier. I made one out of steel, but you can make one with wood and screw/glue it together. It's simply an upside down "U" that set over your loader arm. There is a flat board on top to set the fuel can on and stays there without support. Then you can use a siphon pump or any inexpensive pump to easily fill the tank.

You could use 2x4 or 2x6 on the sides, 1/2" plywood on the top. I made the U wide enough to allow a piece of inner tube to set on the loader arm to prevent scratching. Just a thought.

Me too. Here is an older thread discussing smaller cans. And I love the 2.5 gal Orange can.

2.5 gal YELLOW fuel can? (maybe Orange?)

Because I'm not as tough (or young) as I used to be, fueling my B7100 with a 5gal fuel can is a PITA. In addition to having to hold up that heavy can, I must reach over/past the FEL, and the filler neck of my tank has a fine strainer screen, so it must be filled very slowly. I think it would be...

Sorry skeets just noticed your thread, cheap and easy would be a boat bilge pump. I wasn't sure they'd be good for fuel but when I did a google search it turns out it would be fine. The link I'm posting is a Canadian site so probably half the price for you EH.
