I'm considering a leaf blower that I can use to clean out gutters. Thinking battery powered. I've looked online at reviews and they are all over the place.

I'm half way thinking about a Harbor Freight sold blower so I can buy a 2 year extended warranty and if I have trouble I don't have to do anything but return it to a store 22 miles away, not phone calls, no boxes to ship back, no questions.

What's your experience?

I have bought into the greenworks stuff - my oldest son got me onto it.
I have stihl saws/weed eaters/blowers....

but for lightweight stuff - the battery things are hard to beat.

I have the 40v version - this one - the 2 a/h battery lasts me a full 30 minutes weed eating - and blowing leaves out of gutter would be easier on the battery I would think.

There is a control on it - you need a little air ....or more air, nice feature around the wifes PLANTS ..... that of course is when she is watching! ;)

I have the Harbor Freight lynxx Brand blower and a pole saw. Both are excellent tools with long run times. I use the blower more than my gas powered Stihl blower. It's the cat's meow for blowing off the tractor and bush hog after a dusty day of cutting.

While not s leaf blower, I bought the Bauer 20 volt handheld blower. I use that for blowing the Rad on the Kubota's when I round bale.

I have the Stihl Combi myself.

Used to be in that boat myself until I had gutter helmets installed. Have not cleaned a gutter in 3 years and we live under the trees too.

Up here they are called Eavestroughs for what reason I don't have a clue.

I have a Stihl Kombi with quite a few attachments including a leaf blower. My wife wanted a small battery blower to chase the small flower debris off the front porch. She came home with a Lowe's Kobalt blower and it has been a fine little unit. I grab it often rather than putting the blower on the Kombi motor.

Len, I have had great luck with Harbor Freight products for the past several years. I own generators, drills, hand tools, jacks (both pnumatic and hydraulic), air compressors, air tools, grinders and so on, from HF. All have been great for what they are. The only thing that I don't have are any battery operated tools from there. Given that new battery technology is far superior than it was just a few years ago, I would chance buying one from Harbor Freight if I need one. They do offer the extended warranty as you pointed out so that makes it more attractive to give them a go.

I like that alot. I wonder if one could fab something like that using PVC and attaching to a gas leaf blower?
the kit is for their hand held gas blowers (maybe even the electric ones?). But with some duct tape it can be used with the back pack blower 😂

I had been studying various brands and models. Was in Lowe's and just decided to quit squirming around and spend the money! As Flip says it's a rightoff anyways. Here's what I got. It's a blowing jessie!

Since the batteries are the largest expense on these things I decided to just get the Milwaukee one. It is not as good as my gas unit but works well for what I use it for around the house. Right now if you get the starter batterie pack you can get the blower for FREE.

These batteries are small but they will get you into a good family of tools. Before you know it you have a bunch of batteries that work lots of tools and you always have some charged and ready to go. YMMV.

I have the kobalt 80V series stuff, all works great. I have tried to use it off a ladder for gutter cleaning and it doesn't really work all that well unless you can get on the roof above it and use it sort of in normal fashion. Be careful if you use it from a ladder at any height, it can cause you to lose stability easily.
