I think a lot of places are expecting some kind of trouble. If it does, God forbid, I figure we can hear about multi fatalities in regards to the looting and burning,, people have had enough!

I'm ready for the election to be over, yet I'm concerned that regardless of the results that we will see a lot of violence on or after the 3rd.

St. Louis has multiple buildings boarding up and I'm assuming that is occurring in other cities. I will be happy to spend time out at the farm and away from any crowds.

You have that eight. Being rural has distinct advantages.

Between the impeding Covid lockdowns and the elections and the maybe violence, we are 'all set' in this country once again.

I see the EU has basically locked down again. I'm figuring it's coming here shortly.

Wife told me the infection rate has exceeded 1 case per second which far exceeds the original infection rate last March when all this crap started.

I didn't think about the election when we booked our vacation in the mountains of New Mexico. We are leaving early Saturday morning. At least if there is any curfufal. we should be through OKC while the trouble makers are sleeping it off. Then the only other worry is Elpaso. After that, no big cities. My CC permit is current and valid in the states we will be going through, so no worries there.

It's gonna be a sh*t show in a few days. Doesnt matter who wins. The loser will be sore, and contest. Alleging voter fraud, rigging the ballots and any other convoluted thing they can come up with.

Nobody's coming to my house uninvited, if you know what I'm sayin'.....

Unfortunately our kids are in places where it's much closer.

Philly has been a problem. Summer demonstrations were just a couple blocks away, and they have no vehicle. Recent stuff was west of downtown, but still.....

Have that issue myself, my only son is a Georgia State Highway Patrol, K9 officer and I worry about his welfare constantly. I always find it amazing that a Michigan raised kid could become a Georgia LE and actually do well there. 2 grand daughters and his wonderful wife too. I worry all the time that something could happen. That profession isn't good today, putting you life on the line with every encounter.

Is is nice to live at the end of the power line on a dirt road that few people use. I have no problem with it.

Election day things might blow up, but out here, will just be another day. Me, the wife, the cats and the dog, all pretty oblivious to what transpires in urban settings.

I do notice my level of pandering emails is decreasing. Maybe they got the message that other than my vote, they aren't getting anything.... Maybe.

Not sure about the 'locked' part but loaded, certainly. Won't be any issues out here in rural America, only in concentrated urban settings where the 'natives' get restless. if they came out here, they'd get 'planted' in some cornfield and turn into fertilizer. Tomorrow and the day after and the days after that will be just like today is, a normal midwestern day.

I have a buddy on the ticket for the NYS Assembly in my area. Beat his Republican opponent in the primary in June 75/25%.

Current assemblyman is retiring, and endorsed my buddy. Known both almost 30 years.

Long-time police chief, former Marine Sergeant Major deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan while Chief 2 or 3X. Purple heart recipient twice.

I used to know his opponent too.

Amazing the people you get to know in a rural place.

I texted this picture to Joe a couple weeks ago.

Told him I did a one-tractor tour around town.....of course I didn't tour at all (those tire chains are pretty thin), but he needed a chuckle and it worked.
