Apologies up front for the ranting but I'm pretty heated now having just refused delivery of my lx2610.
Maybe my experience/issues will help others avoid similar problems:

Tried to purchased a LX2610SU that was "in stock" a month ago.
While I was working with sales guy all the counter/register ppl left for the day which meant at the end of all the paperwork they couldnt proces payment.
I though no big deal I'll pay the next day. Brought the wife the next day confirmed everything with sales but they couldn't take electronic payment because their computers had issues....
So I had to get my checkbook and go oldschool.....mind you I'm about 1.5hrs 1 way from dealer...
Finally make down payment....
I kept leaving messages with sales guy to get an eta on delivery so I could sched time off from work....I never once got returned phone calls. The excuse was "I dont have any information so Im not returning call".


Estimated del dates kept coming/going....blaming short staff for assembly...then blaming delivery truck problems.

Enough time passed that I Needed to make first payment (tractor was going to be delivered today also.....I tried via kubotas website....no good.....tried via phone.....no good....not recognizing acc number.
After a couple hours I got a real person on the phone...they said dealer never completed paperwork.
Called dealer (Sales, sales mngr, store mngr etc) after venting my frustration with poor communication and constant failures they apologized and said they had everything straightened out. (I have to call back monday....which is past my payment due date....)

So a few hours later tractor shows up....with the wrong tires on it. (I paid extra for the larger tire package) This really burns me because I expected this is not a common option and made a point to confirm the tire size SEVERAL times ....even joking I would be really pissed if it shows up with wrong tires...
I just had to refuse delivery....No one will take or return my calls and I suspect they won't have the correct tires on hand....most likely backordered like other things

I've lost all confidence in this dealer.

Go somewhere else, easy answer.

The not so easy answer is Kubota finance in Grapevine, Texas is having issues with loan completion paperwork. My wife bought a new Kubota side by side, never received a payment book or any paperwork and then Kubota started applying late charges to the loan. Talked to my dealer (I have a good one) and he got it all ironed out. Got a payment book, paperwork and the late charges were reversed.

The not so easy answer is Kubota finance in Grapevine, Texas is having issues with loan completion paperwork. My wife bought a new Kubota side by side, never received a payment book or any paperwork and then Kubota started applying late charges to the loan. Talked to my dealer (I have a good one) and he got it all ironed out. Got a payment book, paperwork and the late charges were reversed.
That sounds exactly like my issue. I never got a payment/coupon book either.
Somewhat good news right after my post I got a call back saying they are turning around and will delivery anyway....let me use as is while they get the correct tires sorted out...

My main reason for purchasing was to help with a new drainfield project... which is now really lagging behind, so at least I wont have to wait longer if tires are backordered.

Also for anyone having a problem with the finance....Their website contact information is incorrect. At least for me where it says choose "option 5" to speak to a living breathing human.....is not available you only get option 1 or 2 which is english or spanish...it then asks for acc number....which wont work if you are having this specific issue.....I had to punch in the number like 5 times then it finally kicked me to live person, there doesn't seem to be a shortcut to get an operator.

There is actually, just push the option '0' and you get connected to a living person. I hate automated phone systems in general.

The loan shouldn’t have started until you took delivery of the tractor.

I did try the "0" option and it didnt work for me...but it was first thing in the morning so maybe there's a lag before it kicks over to operators during business hrs.

Also worth noting I was surprised at how rough the paint was. I know its a tractor and it will get scratces and dings...but I should be the one scratching it....not the dealer.

Mine is scratched to crap now (22 hours working in the woods) but it was a shiny new penny when delivered I sware the dealer waxed it before the delivery. I use my stuff, it is a tool, not a toy but I would hit them up for some paint you will need it anyway.

As for the dealer, I think of it more like a marriage and less like a date ( car dealer) you are going to have this ting for a long time if you can't get along now you want tomorrow.

Sadly you accepeted it, I would not have. Would tell driver, 'take it back' and NOT signed any paperwork.
Maybe I'm getting cranky as I'm nearing 70 but, when you fork out a large amount of cash for a BRAND NEW 'thing' it better be BRAND NEW, with ZERO damage.
I'd also cancel ANY auto 'payment' plan, call bank, CC company, etc. even if it take killing the account.

Jay - - I usually agree with you, but not this time. Certainly not saying I’m right either.....:oops:

I’d ask for a can of primer and paint, then rely on the dealer to fix the tire size problem (it’s in writing somewhere).

I think like you, I’m a handyman/tinkerer/do-it-yourself kind of guy

I get what you’re saying about “damage, “ but heck it’s a couple scratches. I do that on a regular basis....🥺. Betting I could do a decent repair in a few minutes, not counting drying time.

These rust or scratch issues come up periodically. I’m more of the “it’s a tractor” mindset, and they’ll happen. Others are not, and I respect that.

The OP’s potentially also dealing with the current supply issue; when and where’s the replacement tractor coming or coming from?

For me, a tractor with a couple scratches and small tires still does a bunch more work today than one delivered 10 weeks away, as skeets heard about B2601’s.

Again, just my own viewpoint

Well I did send it back, it was the general manager who had them re-deliver as-is and promised to make the tires right, letting me use the current ones. I think its a supply issue for the larger size and Im not in a position I can wait until next year for replacement. Also I never did sign anything during delivery which I thought was odd.
If I had more time or money I'd make them come get it again but I really just need to put this to work. I'll definitely be adding plenty of my own scratches but was just disapointed to have it show up that way.

The hood scratches are unacceptable on a new unit. Note, it's down to the primer and that is from haphazard uncrating. They deliver to a dealer in a metal framework with the wheels off and have to come out of the framework and have the wheels mounted, Kubota recycles the framework with new tractors. Just the smaller ones. The bigger ones ship complete.

My loan started the day tractor was dropped off. The only paperwork I did prior to delivery was stopping by dealership so drivers license could be copied. The loan papers delivery man had them with him for me to sign :)

IMO RCW is spot on above.

Unfortunate experience OP, but I am sure you will enjoy the machine.

I signed up for the auto pay option and love it. No checks, no postage etc... etc...

If you do not like it you can always cancel the auto pay.

I'd be disappointed with a deep hood scratch too on a brand new tractor. Not so much with small scratches on framework where a spot of touchup paint would suffice.

When the dealer delivered my B2650 they went through most things with me. A buddy of mine also happened to be present that day. Shortly, after the dealer had gone down the road, my buddy was looking at the seat and in the sunlight something caught his eye. Sure enough, at least half a dozen tiny cuts in the seat vinyl could be seen with just the right viewing angle and sunlight. None had pierced the covering but one or two looked to be close! I called the dealer and told him what we had all missed on the pre inspection. He was pretty disappointed to hear of it and asked for pics. Pics were sent and it was pretty obvious that the "help" had carelessly used their box cutters when stripping the plastic covering off from the seat while putting things together. He wrote it up as a warranty claim ( I didn't think that was quite right) and said they'd pick the tractor up as soon as a new seat was delivered. I told him to just let me know when the goods were in and I'd bring the damaged seat there and exchange it. I was worried that at some time the cuts would tear through and he agreed. I'm betting the installers got a mild talking to.
I asked if I could keep the old seat, too, but that wasn't to be. :(

Just my opinion from being in the auto dealer world...hood is unacceptable on a new tractor, especially a brand new model. And I agree with Flip that its uncrating damage, carelessness from the dealership. Not sure if you have put any hours on it, and maybe if you have hopefully the pics you took are date and time stamped (along with delivery paper work that would at least have the delivery day). I would push the dealer to repair or replace hood, if not contact Kubota customer service and provide pics and any paperwork showing it arrived like that.

loader frame scratch shouldn’t be like that being new but not a huge deal, get them touch it up, or give you some paint to touch it up yourself and for scratches you earn.

tire issue shouldn’t have happened but can be dealt with til resolved, given it gets resolved. Possible supply issue 🤷‍♂️ The whole supply chain is crushed right now.

Im typically on the defensive for dealer issues but this shouldn’t have happened. My 7 year old tractor has scratches but nothing through the paint like that and mine has been through some stuff.

I'm anal about hoods anyway, least tractor hoods because I'm looking at it all the time. I bought a used 5000 hour M9 2 years ago and had my dealer go through it for me. It had a dent in the hood and every time I used it (before they got it in) that dent irritated me so I had them replace the hood (on the M9's it's a 3 piece hood). The new upper section was 800 bucks but I don't have a dent anymore. Guess I'm anal about that stuff.

On your NEW unit, those deep scratches are unacceptable. You may do it yourself at some point but bottom line is you did it., not them. Whomever uncrated it did that and the dealer should man up and either fix it or replace it, my Kubota dealer would never let that fly, one reason why I deal with them. I would as a matter of reference, take date stamped pictures (if they aren't already) and be prepared to take it up the chain of command to Kubota if necessary.


No 'touching' that up, it's down to the base coat (Kubota uses a white primer base coat). It needs to either be professionally repaired and repainted or a new hood supplied.

Hate stone chips too. Just bought my wife a new Suburban and first thing I did was get one of those stick on chrome lexan bug shields. Not because I like them, but because they don't stone chip.

Dealer asked me if I wanted a chrome exhaust tip. I asked how much. he said $110.00. I passed. I'll get one at Autozone for 15 bucks. 110 bucks for a chrome tip on an 80 grand vehicle... Dealers have big gonads today.:p

Update....still no tractor. They picked it up to put the correct tires on it was supposed to be a 1 day job. I had to call again to confirm delivery which they promised would be next day, when I asked about the steering kit (required for the larger tires) they didnt seem to know what I was talking about.
The response I got after a being on hold for 30 minutes was "My mechanic said there's plenty of clearance".....so I have to convince them that I will not accept the tractor without the required install kit that the configurator says I must have...(and that I already paid for). I'm sure its just a bushing/stopper kit but damn these guys continue to drop the ball every step of the way. I bought this back in september off the lot and now making payments on equipment I still dont have.

Here's my 2 cents... (more as a warning for future buyers), if they are that disorganized and sloppy at selling tractors from the beginning. They will not get better with time. Most likely they will be out of business in the future. Shop for a good dealer... look elsewhere if things don't go smooth. Hindsight 20/20

Now for the OP, I would write down everything wrong and DEMAND to talk to the owner and see if he will make it right. Most likely that will get things moving... Squeaky wheel gets grease.

Demand a loaner tractor to be delivered, ASAP. Stand your ground, it's your money.

I had to throw a hairy pissy fit to get my jerky 3pth valve changed to a silky smooth one. (not proud of doing that and more unhappy that I had to do it but SO glad I did it...)
