About the time of the COVID shutdown, our kids in Philly "fostered" an adult dog from a nearby shelter.

Well, "fostering" didn't last long. He's theirs now, and getting along just fine....

He's a Pit Bull mix about 4-5 years old, and was very underweight along with some other minor health problems.

He's not well-socialized with other dogs, so he hasn't visited our 9 y.o. Boxer "out in the sticks." I've never met him, since I don't travel well out of the sticks into the big city.....

Lord only knows what his history was....not a fan of Pit Bulls, but he seems to be a sweetheart.

He's fit in with them 100%. He's gained some weight back and is enjoying his time with his new family, as his folks work from home most of the time.

Our kids in California have a rabbit.

Neat little cuss; met her a couple years ago. Early each morning, I'd walk to a local grocery store and get a coffee, plus a little bunch of fresh cilantro for her. After a couple days she caught on and would look for me to come back.

She liked me a lot....

Even bunnies beg...she wants some of her dads breakfast.

My brother has a rabbit that is spoiled rotten and has to get "tucked" in at night.

My mom went over to house sit for them and he forget to tell mom about the rabbit needing to be tucked in.

That little turd kicked the daylights out of the side of it's cage all night. Mom finally called my brother and asked him about it since she was contemplating turning it into stew Thats when he informed her if "tucking" it in at night.

Gypsy was easy for mom. We forgot to tell her about the "toll bone" (dental treat) before bed. Gypsy walked mom over to where the bones were kept and waiting patiently and the occasional yip till mom clued into the cookie jar where they were kept.

If mom asked her if she wanted a treat, gypsy would walk her to the fridge I did get a call for that one. I informed mom that she gets a piece of lunch meat for her treats.

It’s been 28 couple mornings, but got the pellet stove ready to go tonight for a test fire....at 64 degrees. Still have some exterior cleaning to do.

A boy and his dog are a great thing... for a lot of reasons as that boy grows up to be a man....
