Sorry if it offends but Americans arent used to just being sheep. You wouldnt understand.
That's just plain RUDE!

I'm leaving it up so others can read how rude of a comment it is!

Not all of us believe that defying a government order is the right approach, and that don't make us sheep!

In fact I think it makes us smarter for following a government order and trying to keep as many as we can out of the way of a really bad situation.

But by all means insult others for being law abiding!

It wasn't rude at all. You don't have to take personal offense to everything, if it isn't directed to you personally.

America is a really big place. Allowing NYC to dictate how Albany reacts isn't "smart". Allowing NY to dictate how the rest of the country reacts isn't very smart. The gov makes bad decisions all the time, following one of them makes you a sheep.

NYC should have locked down sooner, however a lot of America didn't need to at all. Ask my wife or niece working in empty hospitals.

I find it odd how all the regular "flu" has stopped all of a sudden. Believing and following everything we hear is the definition of sheep.

One size RARELY fits all.

After 70 years of observation, I've found it never fits anything.....

There is always some that are ready to scream “Do Not do anything that hurts their feelings or takes away any of their rights”. However, those same few feel it is perfectly fine for them to do the same to others because they they are more self righteous than everyone else.

Getting butt hurt in this country today seems to be an easy thing. Keep those cheeks clenched and there isn't an issue.

Normally I could give a shit what you boys do but when it effects others that's a different story. As for what you say or think about me have at it, I'm very thick skinned, just don't expect me to reply. I've been a member of many forums this one being the best and with all of them I've come across some of the toughest guys I've ever met when their hiding behind their computer screens. Let's see how tough you are when you or one of your loved ones are laying in a hospital bed with a tube down their throat fighting for their life because you wanted to be the tough guy and brought this virus home to them. I would never wish this horrible decease on any of you whether I agree with you or not. All people are being asked to do is follow the rules for a short time of your life. I't a damn good thing you're old enough when many received a notice or opened their door only to be handed a notice that you have been drafted. You think you're whining now, you would have been calling for mommy back then. Now have at it boys but please start you're own thread dedicated to bashing me if you like. I started this thread with the intention of us all pitching in to help one another. Please keep well and stay safe.

I thought that comment was in regards to the video of the lady on her porch harassing the cops for doing their job, hence the reason I didn't take it down.

You didn't read it that way?

Exactly, especially with Covid. Being cavalier causes it to spread and that spread can be to your loved ones. With no vaccine you can only mitigate and if mitigation means some inconvenience on the part of others, I'm all for that.

I don't feel like my 'rights' are being trampled which in reality they are somewhat but for good reason and that reason is because a percentage of 'adults' today cannot act like responsible adults so someone (in this case governors and the government itself) has to implement rules and regulations because the 'sheeple' cannot do it voluntarily.

I'll be elated when a vaccine is developed, believe me, I'll get vaccinated post haste. Until then' I'll adhere the the 'guidelines' set forth by people who know a helluva lot more about Covid than I do. Besides, I have a compromised immune system from cancer and I'm old (70) so for me to get it would probably be a death sentence. So far so good, but my wife and I are adhering to the mandates and rules set forth by those who know.

I have no issue with doing that at all. Is it inconvenient ? Sure is, but certainly better than having a tube shoved down my throat (been there did that) and until you have experienced it, you don't have a clue what it entails nor do you have any clue about what happens afterwards.

It's (Covid) no joke. Death from the virus is tantamount to drowning in your own bodily fluids as your lungs can no longer aspirate oxygen. Not pretty and I don't believe, unless you enjoy a painful slow death, you'd be comfortable with expiring that way.

Sure, they can give you Morphine so you don't experience any discomfort as you expire but I don't want to go that route and I don't believe any sane person wants to.

I could be wrong though, lots of wacko people out there today.

I have a very close friend who lives just west of Bar Harbor and he and his wife are complying 100%. In realty, Maine is but a pimple is size compared to the State I live in, Michigan and I can tell you that my wife and I are also complying with our governor's mandates. I sure as hell don't want it and I don't believe you do either.

Many of you probably have already seen this but here's a guy (DR Fauci) that cares and has a big heart. And here's another guy (Governor Cuomo) that really understands the consequences of going against what the experts say.

What price are we willing to pay for short term gratification? It's kinda like saying yes you can eat all the cookie's in the bowl but when you're finished there's a good chance we will cut your fingers off, you decide. Please make the right choice because if there is a second wave the pain will be tenfold. Again just JMHO.

An effective method to assure a limited "second wave" is to allow the virus to "run it's course" among the strong and resistant segments of society. While protecting the vulnerable.

saw a good post somewhere that essentially said....

freedom includes the freedom to "Fawk up" you can't separate that element out of "freedom". No such thing as cutting small freedoms to protect freedoms....does not work that way.

You can only push for wisdom and some balance among us via ... promote, educate, encourage, motivate..... but not sound like propaganda with a secret agenda....

damn.... freedom is difficult isn't it. It is even painful. But nothing great exist without "difficult and pain" either sooo.. beside there is far worse governmental systems; so IMHO we best stick with the democratic representative constitutional govt. that we have and the freedoms it allows for.

that being said now.... if someone sees it as the right thing to do is promote wise use of social-d and mask.... let them.. (maybe even listen to get both sides of the issue).... and as well listen to those who see it opposite and find that forcing / cutting freedoms is more dangerous/deadly, or.... its time for herd protection to get rolled out.. we should listen to that point too.

nothing wrong with debate (deee battte... no insult) ... educate, learn, and grow stronger smarter thru it all.
