I really do, outsourced to place in the hinder lands connected to someone that says his name is BOB with an Indian accent so thick you could cut it with a knife Called CITI about a charge on my card, after all the BS to prove that you are the who you say you are, they pull the account up and take another 20 min to explain to you what the interest rates are and want to give you a lower rate, yada yada yada on and on. And God forbid you interrupt then, they have to go and start from the beginning all over again. So after 40 min I said BOB stop,, he says yes, I asked did you get this charge settled,, OH yes Sir you will not have to pay it,, cool ,, Now as I was saying since you have been with us for so long,,, BOB STOP ,, the charge has been stopped, yes? Oh yes Sir,, thanks BOB Your are so welcome now your new rate will be,,,,,, CLICK
I do so hate talking to these people

Usually the second request for a supervisor will get you directed back to the states.

One of the most effective methods to reach a caring rep is simply state "cancel service" or "cancel card" at the prompt. Most systems automatically route you to the customer retention dept and they will bend over backwards for you.

This is so true, but there is some hope. A lot of companies are contracting this support out as a work from home job. Home Depot is one example.

I have a very hard time understanding those with heavy accents on the phone. My wife ends up talking to them most of the time because I try, but I just can't understand them

Why I ditched my Capital One Cabelas card. I only have one card now. Kroger Mastercard. The people on the other end have no middle eastern accent. Actually have a Texas drawl.

I couldn't really care less what sort of accent there is on the other end as long as I can understand them. The world is getting closer together making things more available and cheaper to all of us (hence all of us owning a Japanese Tractor(s)).

The part that annoys me is when you have to go through 80 different robot prompts and 2 hours of your time to try and get to a solution to an issue when it would have only taken 5 minutes to resolve with a person and when you say "connect me to a customer service rep" the command is somehow "unrecognized."

I would honestly rather sit on hold for 4 hours with headphones connected to my phone while doing something else while waiting than try to speak in binary.

Rarely, if ever buy anything at Home Despot....:)

Skeets, I bet you have fun when you order a prescription on the phone from your pharmacy! Jump through more hoops then at the carnival.

Or better yet call the infamous Waste (mis)-Management company. You'll wear down your phone battery before you get the human with the answer.

Despite all the negative comments (mine too). the customer service I receive from my Kubota dealer is top notch. Don't know anywhere else I can carry a balance on an open account and not get a finance charge....:)

No fiancé charge is nice. Problem I have seen is issues with customer service such as lack of qualified repair people and ability to order correct parts. My local dealer tries hard but has a difficult time finding good help. Got to be a frustrating issue.

Try to shorten your request. Just keep repeating, "representative". For some reason it works better then "rep". It has worked for me every time I've tried it.

Everyone at my Kubota dealership has been there at least 10 years. No turnover at all. Not fancy but always busy. I believe they are because they have quality people and it's done right the first time.

If I need to 'borrow' a specialized Kubota tool, they let me borrow it. I don't think they'd let me borrow their Kubota code reader but then I don't need it anyway...lol

I'm a very loyal customer because of their attitude.

Unbelievably, probably the best, most courteous and helpful customer service I have encountered in the last few years were the people at INDOR (Indiana Department of Revenue). I had to consult them when I closed my business and needed to close out several business tax accounts when I retired.

the very best customer service up here is Princess Auto, I've taken stuff(BNIB) back over a year old , and get 100% of what I paid for it. Ask someone, 'got one of these' and they'll walk and talk with you all over the store if need be.Oh yeah, the heavy duty plastic bags are FREE too ! None of this 5c krap...
