On line package deals

First off I like to keep my money local if I can. However, I somehow found an on line package deal on a

So the question is this, where is the scam?

Normally they can sell it for a little less because the have little overhead. They know you aren't bringing it back to them for service.

We had a similar situation close by. For several years he only sold package deals at low cost.
Once he became a full service dealer, those low cost deals became an after thought.

Great point. I just bought this tractor and between 3 dealers 2 where at $18k for the tractor, loader with quick mount and a 60”mmm.
The dealer I want to bring in for service if needed was $1300.00 higher. But this dealer also have me $2k more for my trade. It’s a numbers game. The dealer I bought had freight listed at $1000 and set up at $800. The other dealers must have had that included. If I was buying the tractor with no trade I guess it would be worth the $1300. But I’ve been there when you bring a tractor in for service that’s not purchased from them and its not warm and fuzzy like at a car dealership.

The thing with the "package" deals I've seen is that everything is bare-bones, like trailer is barely adequate with only brakes on one axle, the implements are light duty, the loaders are not quick attach, etc, ect...

I think Neil Messick even had a video on this, just be diligent and know exactly what your getting in advance.

Skeets, I think many dealers offer package deals like you listed. They list the tractor, some implements and a trailer. I think it's to get folks attention and simplify a purchase for the buyer. Many folks just buy it hand pull it home. They're not aware of Orange Tractor Talk Forum, where they get pages of opinion if they like!!

I think it's far from a scam. Just call them and start asking questions.

That's correct. The loader that should be on that is a LA525

That's correct. The loader that should be on that is a LA525

The LA525 loader is for the Lxx01 series. My L3200 also has the 525,but have them with 524 loaders too.
