My question is: My tractor setting level and cold shows a measurement on the Hydraulic oil dip stick of just a tad above the bottom mark. So, how much oil do I need to buy to get the dip stick reading above the middle of the stick?
You need to change the fluid and filter out regardless of the hours if your getting that little of use out of it.While on it's face, your suggestion is valid; at my present rate of tractor usage, it would set in my shop from 7 ~ 10 years before I would need the rest. I'm probably going to buy a couple of quarts and see where it tops up. On another note, is it just me or does everyone have a problem seeing the fluid level on the dip stick?
OK, just one more question: Do I need to replace the Hydraulic Filter I just put on the tractor; it has .3hr use?
Pull the .3 hour old filter off and drain it and put it back on.
