Are any of you running a 72 inch finish mower behind your B2650 similar to the Landpride FDR1672 or Woods RD72? Any problems?
Well remember a lengthy thread on that topic.Someone on here tried a 72” rfm on his 2650, on a fairly steep lawn, and it was underpowered on the hills.

In your case it will depend mostly on the mower load.I am maintaining an 8 acre fescue field weekly which is flat with some low rolling hills. I am running unloaded turf tires on my B2650. Id like to get as wide a cut as possible with a rear mower. I watched video of a guy pulling a heavy Landpride 2572 mower up some steep hills with oversized loaded tires and he struggled. My situation is quite a bit different hence my question.
You are right about the owner having oversized tires, mowing on steep slopes, and he was also running a FDR 2572 which takes more power. Not a good set up for the tractor and he was not realistic on his set up. I have run a FDR 1672 for 4 years on property out back with my B2650 and have no problem with power at all. I have the mower set at 4.5" and mow at 8-9"s which is a couple times a month. The tractor handles it with no problem. Been a very good set up for me.Well remember a lengthy thread on that topic.
Owner had tractor loaded down with loaded, oversized R-4 tires, FEL and 72" LP three point mounted finish mower. Needed low range even with no grass to cut in late winter.
Was simply expecting too much.
I would not go beyond 60" except in ideal conditions.

I don't have one, but I can't see why you'd have any issue turning 72" deck on flat grass. You could always take a smaller bite if you had to.
