I have a mx5100 and my post auger is just to long. My tractor will not raise it but about 1 inch above ground,it's like a sore thumb to me.Can I shorten that auger in any kind of way?
I think that I will give it a try, just cut it with a chop saw then re drill. ThanksI actually lengthened mine. Mine was too short to get a full 4 foot hole so I welded on a suitable length of schedule 60 pipe. You can shorten it. Just saw it off and redrill the hole for the shearpin.
Is there a place to reset it or to check it? Wolfman, it looks like all the linkage is set as you showed in your Pic. and Thanks for that Pic.It could also be that the three point is set to not go any higher via the control or the feedback linkage.
Thanks I'll try that and if it isn't that way my plan B is to weld a three inch 2 3/8s pipe spacer to a 4 inch angle iron and lower the hitch pins about 4 inches.with nothing attached to fully raised 3pt see if you can raise draft arms higher. If draft arms can be raised up by hand feedback rod isn't adjusted correctly.
