Equipment
L3901, LA525-FEL, BMLX-3164 3pt Blower, 72" Coteck Sno Pusher, 60" Box Blade
I have never used Diesel Anti-Gel additives. I have always gotten by using K-1 Kerosene mixed with my Diesel. Problem here, is that K-1 cost me $32 for 2 gallons at Canadian Tire, thus making it cost prohibitive. I have purchased some Kleen-Flo Diesel Anti-Gel additive. I have used many Kleen-Flow products throughout the years and find them to be very high quality. (Only sold in Canada I think). I have attached photo's of the product, and the instructions.
(Yes, I read instructions)..Supposedly, this one L bottle treats 500L of Diesel. For my 3901's 11 gallon tank, my calculations say approximately 2ml/cc of product to a full tank. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. 2cc's doesnt sound like much, and went to the Pharmacy to grab a couple syringes to measure that quantity.
One of the complaints I hear from the dealer is that people tend to overdose their diesel to the point of it not even smelling like diesel anymore, and the equipment starts to run poorly. I have 9 driveways contracted right now, so I really can't afford to have any issues. It has been, and appears that the trend will continue, very very cold. Haven't hit -20f yet, but real close.
Can someone tell me if my math is correct. I am originally from the States and this whole Metric system is gibberish to me. Any advise would be appreciated.
