Loader wont lift to capacity on B2601

How do I increase the lift capacity on my B2601? It seems like the loader loses lifting power the higher it goes. Checked the hydraulic fluid and its full. Any ideas?

I’m no loader expert, but isn’t this normal?

I couldn’t find specs for the B2601, but here is a comparable tractor. Look at the loader specs.

Geometry....

Tractor loaders don't lift straight up, its travels in an arc. Something you may be able to get off the ground travels farther away from the tractor for a short period as it goes up.

Couple tricks... First is get the load as close to the arms as possible. Second is to curl the bucket/forks all the way back if possible. That gets the center of the mass closer to the tractor.

It seems that the geometry of the loader could cause it to lose lifting power as it rises. It just doesnt seem to be as powerful as the loader on my old B 2620. Also the B2620 had more power to spin all four tires when driving the bucket into a pile of dirt. The hydrostatic presure on the new B2601just seems like its to low. Could low presure be the problem? If so how do I increase it?

Your actually asking 2 different things.

The hydrostatic power does not have anything to do with hydraulic pressure, two seperate systems.

I soupose I am, I know its posible to increase the loader presure. I have seen people do it on youtube, but I dont have a factory service maual yet so Im not sure where to do it on the 2601. As for the hydastatic transmision, is thier a way to put a little more power to the ground?

Yea that's easy... go trade it in for a bigger tractor!

if you want more power to the ground, I would ask what range are you in L/M?H and at what RPM's?

When I do loader work I use L and 2200-2300 RPM's

Do you have a "cutting bar" on the FEL?
Are you "easing" into the dirt?

If you engage the dirt pile at that RPM...and engine does not change sound nor do tires spin.....something is amiss!

Something doesn’t sound right. For point of reference, I was pushing a pile of stone dust off driveway with box blade on BX.
Would break loose just a little on all 4 wheels.
Your B is heavier...are rears loaded and are you in 4WD?

Are you pushing down fully on the HST pedal?
If you are try it again with easing up on the pedal when you go into the pile.

That's odd. My B2620 has way more drive power than traction. I can easily spin all 4 tires in M range.

I always though my loader felt a bit weak, but I lifted a pallet with a wood splitter in it that was marked as 534 pounds and it did it with zero effort, so I guess it is where it should be.
Especially since I was using clamp on forks in front of my bucket.

If you are try it again with easing up on the pedal when you go into the pile.

Yeah, that could do it...and certainly wouldn’t be the first to encounter that problem.

Ok, tried easing into the dirt pile. I have all 4 tires digging now, but the loader still does'nt seem like its lifting to capacity. How do I check to see if my hydualic presuse is correct?

Get a hydraulic gauge and check it, You just remove one of the loader lines and connect the gauge and activate the loader control.

Don't put your loader bucket down at the bottom of the pile and expect it to push the entire pile to fill the bucket. You push, raise and roll the bucket.
