Planning on getting a 20' chain to keep with the tractor, just wondering how everyone stores their chains (not tire).
I stole this idea from a fellow OTT member :Planning on getting a 20' chain to keep with the tractor, just wondering how everyone stores their chains (not tire).

I cheated......painted them!Did you actually find orange zip ties?
Russel,If the chain is in a closed container you may want to get something like this to keep it from rusting

ROFLI've got enough chains in enough places that storage is never an issue for me. But losing them in wood pile, scrap pile, brush or prairie grass is. So... the first thing I do with any chain is paint both ends (hooks plus 8" or more) with high vis rattle can spray paint.
This has been your helpful tip for the day, brought to you courtesy of Kingcreek. We now return to your regular thread content.
Just wait until you find one of those lost chains with the rotary cutter.ROFL
One time I had chain just in the FEL bucket. Enroute to do something, I tilted the bucket to smooth an area, forgetting about the chain. I got to my final destination and 'What!!! No chain!!!' Seems I sort of buried it when I did the smoothing. This is why I am, not allowed off the property and it is preferred I stay in the fenced in area.
