Are you sure you want a 7-16 The 7100 calls for 6-12 and 8-16 The 6100 calls for 6-12 and 7-16 The reason I ask is we both have same ratio now and no binding the 7-16 and 8-16 are almost 2"diameter difference
No, I can't say I'm comfortably sure. I don't know what else to do other than buy the sizes the manual calls for (6-12 with 7-16). Maybe the 8-16 would work better. I just don't know how to tell (aside from buying both and wasting one set, which I'm trying to avoid doing). Nobody seems to know the gear ratio for the 6100D.Are you sure you want a 7-16 The 7100 calls for 6-12 and 8-16 The 6100 calls for 6-12 and 7-16 The reason I ask is we both have same ratio now and no binding the 7-16 and 8-16 are almost 2"diameter difference
So I split the tread on a rear tire today. I haven't had any luck finding the thread you mentioned. Also, you state that the 29x12x15 is the right size but the manual calls for 27x8.5x15 for the 6100D??? I need to buy tires and am more confused now than when I started.Those are the stock / right size turf tires for that tractor.
I will try and dig up the other thread that has the right size tires needed, as the tires this thread lists will NOT work on a B6100, they are the wrong ratio.
I can see where you are getting confused, and yes I have done some of that, but it's not on purpose.So I split the tread on a rear tire today. I haven't had any luck finding the thread you mentioned. I want a more aggressive tire (like the ones in this thread would be great), not a turf tire. If I can't find them I will settle for turf tires.For a B6100D yes you need 27x8.5x15 for the rears in turf
Is that the style and size you need and want?
There in lies the issue, that style of tire only comes in the larger size that fits the B7100's size of the 29x12x15I want a more aggressive tire (like the ones in this thread would be great), not a turf tire. If I can't find them I will settle for turf tires.
I like those too. So how do we solve the problem for the front? I can't find anything but turf in 20.5x8.0-10.There in lies the issue, that style of tire only comes in the larger size that fits the B7100's size of the 29x12x15
and in order to use those you would need to change your front tires to make it work.
Look at these and see what you think?

I put this setup on my B7100 HST about 2 months ago, and they work great!
I also put some new hubs in while I was there.
$800 for all 4 tires and two new hubs.
What tires and rim sizes do you have on it now?I know this is an old thread but I thought I would see if you might be able to help
I have a b7100d and the rims are four bolt.
I was wondering if you could,tell me where you got the tires at and do you have 4 bolt rims or does it matter?
I would really like some wide tires like these for climbing chills and going through mud.
Thanks
Rick
You can safely go from 20.5x8.0-10 to the 20x8.0-10 tires.I like those too. So how do we solve the problem for the front? I can't find anything but turf in 20.5x8.0-10.
One reason I'm so confused is the fact that I didn't have any binding with the 29x12.0x15 -- 20.5x8.0-10 combo that are on it now and they've been on it a LONG time.
Maybe since the rear RC is dropping by ~6" by going to 27x8.5-10 rears, it evens out by using the 20x8.0-10 on the front which drops RC by ~2"???? I can't believe I can't find the gear ratio anywhere . . .
Guess these numbers can change w/air pressure:
Current size
29x12.0x15 = 91.1"
27x8.5x15 = 84.8"
20.5x8.0-10 = 64.4"
20x8.0-10 = 62.8"
Thank you. I'm planning to order online tomorrow. I just thought about something though. Will the 27x8.5's fit on my wheels? Talking about a tire that's 4" narrower (I think) than what's on them now.You can safely go from 20.5x8.0-10 to the 20x8.0-10 tires.
Opens up a lot of possibilities.
Best I can tell is ~11" wideMeasure the rim width and I'll check it.
Hey Wolfman they appear to be the original tires and rims. fronts are 6-12 rear 8-16. Will the wider tires that the thread is talking about fit these old 4 bolt rims? thanks as usual for your adviceWhat tires and rim sizes do you have on it now?
They should be mounted on a 7" rim so your pushing it.Best I can tell is ~11" wide
No, you will need to stick with the stock size tires or get wider rims.Hey Wolfman they appear to be the original tires and rims. fronts are 6-12 rear 8-16. Will the wider tires that the thread is talking about fit these old 4 bolt rims? thanks as usual for your advice

I ended up buying both sizes. I expect to refuse shipment on the 27x8.5x15 and use the 29x12.5x15. Obviously the 12.5's will fit my current wheels. I will report back with the outcome.They should be mounted on a 7" rim so your pushing it.
