I have been wanting an F150 Supercrew Platinum for a few years. The prices are ridiculous, and I can't see paying that amount of money for a vehicle. Last month I picked up a 2002 F150 Supercrew Lariat with 93,000 miles. for $3700. The truck is Mint, Cherry, and has been well taken care of. No rust to speak of, original paint, and a like new interior. I had to put an axle seal in back, an exhaust manifold on the right side of the motor, a Gibson Cat-Back dual exhaust , a K&N CAI, and a Cruise Control Servo unit from a salvage yard. I am still under my $5000 limit I had set for myself and I have a good, solid truck. Fuel economy is 19.3 MPG which isn't bad for a 5.4L. But someone from above was looking down upon me, because trucks are hard to find around here, and GOOD trucks are near impossible to find. I am going to keep this one as long as I can, because I can't see paying the price of a new one.
