Yes thank you. I'm guessing you fabricated the mount? Why did you choose this over the factory filter?

Yeah I made the mount.
The filter housing is simply bolted to a piece of angle iron, and the angle iron is bolted to the fuel tank support.
There is two welded on nuts there that were unused from the factory.
The reason I chose this over the OEM filter is, one, the location. It partially blocked the oil filter.
Two, it was susceptible to damage.
Three, the increase in size of the Racor filter allows me to use a filter with a two micron media, without hindering fuel flow over the much smaller OEM filter.
Four, the Racor filter is designed to be a water separator and there is a drain on the bottom if ever it's needed to drain the bowl.
Five, is the OEM filter had the outlet hose run up and around the injection pump in a semi circle.
To me that was stupid, because of the amount of air to bleed after replacing the element.
This hose routing practically gravity bleeds. As long as you fill the filter after replacing it.

I see you have your forks on the trailer. Did the trailer come with pockets for forks or did you add them? If you have any pictures would you please post them. I like that set up.

The trailer is a whole other project.
I added them. Added all the D rings. Mounted a spare tire under the deck.
Removed the decking, stained all sides and reinstalled.
I'll try to post the pics of that. No guarantee, because it seams the pics in my Verizon cloud don't load well on here.
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what.

Thanks I need to learn how to post pictures.
I told you wrong in the last post.
This trailer I added the fork carriers. Added D rings and did the spare tire bracket under the deck, however I gave it to my dad, just to do most of it all over again to the trailer the tractor is on now. Sorry, I got it mixed up.
The one I added the stuff to in the pics is a Sure Trak.
The one I have now is a Cam Superline, and it came with the fork carriers.

Do you have a list of fittings you used on yours? This may be my next mod. I can see from the pictures you have some 90's and a cut off valve.

I don't have a list sorry.
It's all 1/4 inch fittings.
The valve is just a brass ball valve with the handle twisted sideways, shortened and painted red.

Looking at it I can see, two plugs, one ball valve, two nipples, and one 90 degree barb fitting and one 45 degree barb fitting. Does that sound about right? What size barb fittings did you use or what size did you measure the fuel line to be? Thanks

The fuel line is quarter inch and I used quarter inch Barbed fittings. Tomorrow I will take a closer look at it and add up exactly what I used and try to make a list for you. The two plugs that are in the back side of the filter housing come with the Parker Racor kit.

Does this clear it up?
The ball valve is female on both ends with a short male Union threaded into the filter housing. Before the valve is a male to female 90, with a male thread to barb hose fitting going into that.
The outlet side fittings are a male to female 45 with a male thread to barb hose fitting.
If you do this arrangement ORIENT THE FITTINGS BEFORE FINAL ASSEMBLY.
You will have to figure out what order to assemble the fittings so you can turn them without interference problems.
After you know what order to assemble the fittings, then add Teflon and assemble again.

Looks great Rokee95. I picked up a barely used L3800 just before Xmas. Your tubing bending skills are impressive. I'm thinking of going hardline on my rear remotes and 3rd function as well. The racor fuel filter showed up this week. Going to put that on and my stebel horn on as soon as I finish putting on the new cutting edge. Thanks for the ideas.

Hey Jason, did you get a chance to add the Racor filter? And if so did it go okay?

Finally got to it this weekend. One question though what did you do with the factory vent that was attached to the factory filter housing?
