Zerks

B2601 and loving it; went to service the grease points on the anti-scalp rollers. Hooked in, greased them, and when removing gun pulled out the zerks. Anyone else have this issue? Solutions are also solicited....

I would guess check to see if the zerks are tight in place and tighten up if needed. Check the one that came out if they were just loose

Yea, that happens when you screw a zerk into a plastic wheel. You probably need to unscrew the end of your grease tip a bit so it releases easier.

Yeah, my dealer advised that if the grease gun has difficulty releasing from a zerk to loosen up the gun tip.

Until you get a Lock-n-lube........you'll never enjoy greasing the machine, hell it is almost fun to grease the zerks with it!

If its in plastic, drill the hole out, a little bigger, and tap it to the next size fitting up. You don't have to use the drill the tap recommends, plastic is easy to thread. Oh, and try the lock-n-lube, when you hit the release lever with your finger, it releases easily...

What Hokie said....haven't pulled one of those scalp wheel zerks out after getting it...

Didn't like spending $30 for it either, but the gun with it on is the only gun I use anymore...

A lot of grease zerks are drive in. Saves time in building and the customer has to fix the problem the mfg. creates. The ones in iron are an easy fix. Weld a 1/4" nut over the hole and thread in a new zerk. Problem over with.
