That was earlier last winter - mid-January maybe - and you're right a foot or so. The banks were 4-5 feet later on, with almost 3' all over. We got hammered this year, too, but not as bad as folks all around us.

That is actually my back yard - our Boxer dog doesn't do snow and cold well.:p

Our driveway is stone, so I do drop the shoes as low as possible until I get a good base, then raise them up to where I leave about .75" or so.

As you know, those piles from your plow truck can get pretty solid. If moving them around, you might want to consider loaded rear tires and chains on the back.

Just a suggestion.;)

Best of luck with your new tractors - great machines!:D

That pic sure speaks volumes! Wish I could see all that on YouTube!
Not much risk of that happening - I'm not YouTube savvy, and I'd need to teach the Boxer to work the phone/camera - and he doesn't have thumbs!!:p:p

My 15 year-old usually disappears about snow-clearing time....funny how that works.....

My tractor needs to be part Mountain Goat. This photo was last week, just a little uphill from the other in the cut-off ditch.

I can sure understand that. We have an old black Lab who *loves* the snow but can't get around like she used to and now we have to cut paths through the front yard with a snow-blower to give her some freedom.

This was a picture taken in early February of our front steps which shows the magnitude of the problem! haha

I appreciate your welcome and advice. I already have the tires filled and will have a LOT of experience on the tractor by the time next winter sets in. (Although we were having some small snow flurries yesterday... go figure.)

Thank you all for such a great environment to chat and learn!
