Was out playing with my "new" L2250DL, and the left front wheel froze up. Jacked up the front end and pulled the entire left front axel, axel case, and the differential gear shaft out. Found what was left of a bearing had jammed the gears. This tractor had been running with out any gear oil for quite some time. Checked in my parts manual and ordered all new bearing, and oil seals. Started taking everything apart and found another bearing that was about to come apart. I am going to be doing the right front also.
Now comes the reason for the help. I am trying to get the bearing (ref. #30) out of the front axel and can't figure how to get circular clip (ref.#120) out. It is the only bearing that doesn't have a snap ring holding the bearing in, and I can't figure how to get the damn thing out. It looks like it is in two pieces, but there isn't room to get anything between the pieces to pry it out. I'm about to go to my last resort and get my dermal out.
Thanks,
Guy
