Purchased my first Kubota last weekend. Should be delivered sometime this week. Some of the options did not make it out before the storm hit the South East last Wednesday. This wait is driving me crazy. But it has given me plenty of time to read and watch videos about my tractor and Kubota in general. I have a lot of work planned on my 8 acre family farm this summer. So I will start purchasing my required fluids and filters for the first 50 hour service which will come up quickly. In addition to the 5' bush hog, 5' box blade, and auger that I already had. I purchased a 72" land pride finish mower, 72' land pride rake, hay bale spare for the LA524 loader, 66" bucket, and last but not least a Land Pride quick hitch for the 3 point hitch. This is my first post and look forward to learning from you all.

Thanks, She should be here weds evening. Maybe I take a couple of pics of us fooling around. Don't know how far I will get on the first date. We will see. Seriously though, my last tractor was a grey market Yanmar. It did not have a ROPS on it. Looking around the property I quickly realized that I need to trim up all the trees so that I have the clearance. As if I don't already have enough to do. Well at least I got a nice Stihl chainsaw out of this deal. Tanks for the welcome look forward to chating with you. Peace out.

Hey Carl, Bought my L3800 from Chad at argracon in Ocala. Sounds like we are pretty close. This weather is kicking ass. Beets the weather the northern folks are having.

Welcome to OTT!! If you have never experienced an addiction, you will now! :D
Already am. Been watching this site and You Tube Videos for a month now. I waited until the deal was done before joining. Wednesday can't get here fast enough. The wife said I am worst than an expecting dad in the waiting room. I say I would rather change the oil from the tractor than a crappy diaper from a baby.

How is the Orange rattle can paint? Does it match up or am I better off going to the hardware store and getting orange paint for a better price. Just wondering, planning on going to the dealer to get the shop and parts manual. Thought I would get some paint because I may need to do some touch ups, Lots of low trees, working on trimming them up.

Rick,

I talked with Chad while I was in the hunt last Summer, I liked him and the outfit just fine. In the end I went with the local guys in Orlando, as I might see them more often.

Shhhh, don't mention the weather we're having! A bunch of the guys on here are thrilled to have piles of "snow" (whatever that is) to push around... :)

To each his own, I am fine with pushing horse shit and mowing in February. Hope the tractor comes home tomorrow, if not for sure on Thursday.

Skeets ol buddy ol pal, I sure as hell have no idea how you managed to get an arm, a elusive tree limb and the rops nail eachother all at the same time.

The only thing that comes to mind is you had your arms up over the rops like you were riding down hill on a roller coaster...

Usually the tree wins. I finished trimming the second tree, only about 2 dozen left to go. Cant afford a broken arm (skeets). Just recovered from my second major shoulder surgery. It would not take much to tear it up again.

FLH Lil bro just had his done for the 3rd time doc said aint anything more he can short of some kind of experimental type replacement surgery,, Lil bro said ahh no thanks

Well Eric my friend, its simple,,, after running a tractor for years with out a ROPS and this being the first, well old habits die hard. A lot of the branches in the orchard WERE a little low so I would just push them up and out of the way as I mowed under them. Well I guess you can see where this is going,,, And one day after, consuming a few adult refreshment,, Hey it was really hot ,,,, I was just about finished and thought I might as well finish that little strip along the woods line. and Ill be done,, almost finished and I pushed up a branch it got somehow wrapped around my wrist, and it as into the ROPS before I could get stopped,,
The ER Doc kept asking,, now explain to me one more time how you did this??? Like he didn't believe me,, or how in the hell can any one be that stupid?
SO I have done 2 things,,
number 1: I cut every branch that was head high off to about 7 feet
number 2: Stay out of the refrigerator in the garage until after I'm done!

And that's my story and Im sticking to it:D

Well its finally here. I will post better pic this week end. Had a few problems at delivery, and I am still a little hot headed with the dealership. They took care of me though so I don't think I will comment about it until I cool down. Happy with the tractor so far and will definitely give it a workout this weekend

Ok I guess your excuse is a valid one. I do the same thing with my B6100.
