So many knives that I have come with a story. For example, in November of 2011 I shipped my car from Honolulu to Los Angeles and a week later got on a plane. I was heading to Arkansas to start a new job as an R&D engineer working for Remington Arms at the ammunition plant in Lonoke.
I did some sightseeing along the way and spent three nights at the St. James Hotel in Cimarron, NM because I've always been fascinated by the "Wild West" and all of its legends. Jesse James, Wyatt Earp, Buffalo Bill Cody and others stayed at the St. James Hotel.
Every night I'd eat dinner at the bar, and every night a guy would come in for a beer or two, and every night he'd be carrying a box full of knives that he'd made. On my last night there I bought two knives from him. His name was Steven Rick and it turns out that he consulted on a number of movies and TV shows that featured blacksmithing. He would be bought in to make sure that the forge looked right and that the actors could pass for real blacksmiths.
Here are the knives.
