Anyone into nice knives? I just recently started collecting a few. Just to be clear a friend of mine has access to a lot of knives and he has given me almost all the ones in my knife drawer. I would have a hard time spending the money on some of these. Just curious if anyone else is into knife collecting?

I see a few Kershaws in there which are my favorite EDC knives. The Blur is the one I typically carry off work and the Leek is usually the one I carry when I'm in the office.

Nice collection and nice friend!

I see a few traditional pocket knives in your collection which hold a special place in my heart. Something about the history and huge amount of different patterns and blade configurations that vintage pocket knives come in.

I've been "into" knives since I was a kid. I like fixed blade, folders and automatic knives as well as custom knives. Here's my favorite hunting knife. A Casstrom made in Sweden. I've skinned and quartered a bunch of elk and deer with this one.

I'm not a collector by any means. A number of knives have followed me home and cover a variety. Yep a Hansa machete brought back from Ecuador is included. Then there are several non-locking folders, some fixed blade hunting knives, three blade "stockman" knives, a Buck Titanium, etc.

The one that's always with me is a simple Buck 285. I carry my knife in a front pocket and this Buck doesn't have the open back. That doesn't allow it to pick up change and other junk that can tie the blade up when you want to deploy it. I have a few folders where that's a problem.

Very nice, I see some spydercos, zt's, benchmade, looks like some hinderer designs. Possibly a couple microtechs up top.

I found this forum after the knife forum i was very active on shut down.

I don't have quite that many folders maybe 35 or 40 or so. My main thing was butterfly knives.
Got into flipping, then into customs. Had some high end otf's. Ultimately got hooked up with a custom maker in Az. S#$t got out of hand fast.

Whoa @airbiscuit, that has to be the nicest $25 collection of knives I've ever seen! 😂

Here are a couple of custom D Smith knives that I won at a Pheasants Forever blind auction. The top one has a mammoth tusk handle, and the bottom one has a mammoth tooth handle. The colors in the tooth come from the tooth being exposed to minerals as it sits at the bottom of a river or lake.

I contacted Mr. Smith to ask about the handles, and he told me that they come with a 10,000 year warranty that expired 6,000 years ago. 😊

A few I produced when I was building collectable traditional pocket knives.
My dyed and jigged cow bone covers.
