Hello all, New to tractoring, never operated anything bigger than a large riding lawn mower. I have 5.5 acres mostly wooded and will be buying a Kubota B2301 in the next few days, It will have bucket, grapple and bush hog to start off with. I have several trails that a forestry mulcher cut for me already, that i will be cleaning up, and will try to turn a bit of the land into garden space.
My question is what other attachments do you think will be needed and what has been your experiences with the B2301
Also am looking for a quick hitch but the kubota one is a bit pricey, will most of the quick hitches out there work with land pride and other equipment or do I have to stick with Kubotas.
Thank you for the nice words. I think you and I have lived it the best of times. No matter how bad your day is, there is always a tail wagging to see you. The sad thing is they don't live long enough, and no matter how tough you are, it hurts. It seems tractor people seem to be more down to earth than a lot of people, and most tractor people are usually quite ingenious to
The Intimidator is an excellent piece of equipment. I just need to learn how to use it more effectively. Buried rocks and tree saplings, here I come! I'm committed to eliminating as many brush cutter/rock encounters as possible, though it may take a lot of time and diesel.
I'm about to give up and install pressure relief needle valves on my grapples' hydro lines ( Danuser Intimidator  and Chinese 😣double lid Rock-Root ) to make hydro connections easier (possible for me by myself).
Also looking desperately for a mod that will let me operate the rear hydraulics from outside the cab (a major problem for me and my reduced mobility). May fab, have made, or purchase an expanded or perfed steel brush guard to supplement the inadequate grill protector. Fabing a 3-point hitch ballast platform/box that will include chainsaw holders, a toolbox, and long-handled tool holders. More to come if I live long enough.
Traded my NH for an MX5400 cab manual Xmission, air ride seat, loaded front & rear hydraulics (including 3d member and one side lift arm), ballasted rear Ag tires, and Pete's Quick-Hitch adapters (to accommodate non-standard older attachments. Presently equipping it with front & rear cameras feeding a 10" split-screen display and LED work lights & bar. Looking for a rear window rock protector and seat cover for its air ride seat.

I would like to hear what type of lights you used as I have an mx5400 with cab as well. The camera system also is a fantastic idea. Have you completed the installation?

I'm interested in the camera system. A link to it and your reasoning for choosing it woud be appreciated.
Do you make mats for the L3800 HST? I was a little confused (not hard to do) about the various kubota part numbers, etc.
Thanks,

Hello, yes I make a set that fits an L3800 HST. Do you know the serial number of your L3800? Feel free to text my cell for a quicker response 864-633-9664.
Thanks,

Hello Guys,
I'm new to this so bare with me. I have a kubota 4701 and I need the aluminum adaptor plate for the hydraulics that supplies the rear remote operations. Does anyone know what the part number is or how I can get this part?
Thanks
what is the brass chamfered ring do to the shaft coming out of transmission and sits in front of the throwout bearing . i am getting ready to install a d-850 engine in a b6200d tractor. the shop book shows it but no name or what it is for one side has a bigger bevel than the other side. outside diameter is 1.024 inside diameter is .788thousands and it .256 thick . it fits the shaft with the splines heading into the clutch housing. how does it sit with the chamfered one way or does it matter?

Are you taking about the pilot bearing into the crank shaft?

The bearing is split so I had to peal the old one out with a small flat blade screwdriver. You will need to mark the bolts and position of the fly wheel before removing it to get the rubber seal out. The copper pilot bearing direction does not matter but it goes in dry no lubrication required as the metal material is impregnated with lubricant. You will need to remove the flywheel to get the rubber seal out. I also had to make a custom clutch alignment tool out of a wooden dhow rod to seat that pilot bearing into the crank as the tool is discontinued.
It seemed necessary to update my signature so folks would know I am not a newbie. I am a Kubota Princess but, I have at least 7,500 hours of experience after I was thrust into it by a Cat 5 hurricane, clearing debris for 3 years on 200+ acres of woods now fields. I am NOT A NEWBIE!

Hubby, PSDStu has thousands of hours over 15 years and he is the best teacher ever. We work together exceedingly well, and even tho I was tossed into the tractor scene, I fell in love. There is not one thing he can do that I can't do. We are a great team. If you don't believe me, ask him!

I removed my humor post of my rant about the L3560 because it was clear no one really understood the humor in it. There is always a tractor down with irritating needs, or in the shop from a tree falling on it or some such thing. To us it is just better to laugh than cry at this point.

In one of the post that you replied to, you said that your L3901 had a block heater installed in it when you got the tractor. Can you tell me what freeze plug hole it is installed in? Or if you have a picture of it, can you share?

Thanks in advance!

Block heater is on left side in front of starter motor, I took photos today but can't figure out how to post them (no kids in my house to help me!) Let me know if you know how to send them.
