Hi all. Lot of experience out there I need to tap into. Got a Zero turn (see title) with 600+ hours. B&S 24 HP. purchased brand new in 2014. Usual problems over the years. I've kept up with oil changes, blade sharpening, normal maintenance, etc. Haven't followed the maintenance schedule to a tee.

Noticed recently on start-up, after the machine has been sitting for more than a few days that there seems to be a fuel delivery issue. I have to crank the motor for an inordinate amount of time before it will fire (if it fires at all). Lately I will have to crank to the point of totally draining the battery, and have to use starter fluid (which is not good for extended use) to get the machine running.

Any thoughts?

assuming all else is fine and as you say is a fuel delivery issue I would add a primer bulb and a back flow valve on the fuel line.
given age and your maintenance comments maybe air leak in fuel deliverry sytem

Good thought MapleLeafFarmer. I'll check into that. Any idea where to find the bulb and check valve? I got to thinking also, maybe fuel filter?
inline fuel primers common at any marine, snowmobile, atv dealers but can be found all over including amazon.
if space permits these inline primer bulb often have backflow buit in. run about $10 or so but you need to know I.D. of fuel line.
my local farm store has them on the shelf. Pretty common.
