I hope to eventually achieve 'decent ground' on the ~2.5 acres i have to mow. I have tried a couple of zero turns I was working on for others out here and the ride is too rough to use the greater speed. But, i intend to eventually rip up and smooth out the whole thing and start over as there isn't a spot of grass on it i actually like anyway (used to be a hay field).

Have you tried a suspension machine?

No, but I have considered building a self-powered tow-behind mower and pulling it WITH something with suspension (many options on that end).

I try to build or buy broken (cheap) and fix anything i use out here. I have not seen any form of mower with suspension already on it that fits my self-imposed budget for mowing tasks.

I'm pretty sure if i had a machine like those Ferris's I would just stop there and be happy. But I still want to fix this field because you can trip just walking in a straight line from some of these undulations. Hah!
