ZD331P-60 550 hours.Tired of stopping once or twice each year to blow air through the fuel lines to correct the clogged issue. Additives are used to ensure there is no water in fuel. fuel storage tank is now inside. they keep finding algae in one of the fuel filters. they continue to tell me that everyone with this dual line fuel delivery system has problems - the filters are too small. Has anyone tried a larger filter or a water separator? Same fuel runs in a John Deer 950 and Kioti 40 HP tractor with no problems. Thinking about selling and trying a LexMark. Thanks

I have a ZD323 that has the same fuel system. In 1500 hrs of operation, I have had no fuel supply problems or fuel quality problems. If they are finding algae in the pre-pump filter then the tank/tanks are contaminated. Removing tanks and a through cleaning are the only way I know of to get tanks clean.

nicely said.
I agree 110%
whether the filter is ultra fine micron or more course if its plugging with ALGAE like the OP indicates then its an ALGAE issue not a filter issue. Filter just doing its job.
Solution is to fix the dirty / contaminated source of the ALGAE
I would remove and clean the tank and all lines, clean the source tanks of fuel and decrease the % of biodiesel to absolute minimum.

When I bought my ZD331 with 1200 hours first of this year going through it changing fluids and fixing everything that it needed, I didn’t like the filter setup so I added a Kubota filter/water separator before the first factory filter. Along with tying the fuel tanks together.

Is the issue tied to one tank or both tanks?

Mostly it is the right tank but has been both….they have pulled the tanks and cleaned numerous times
