Hi all
my ZD28 has ongoing issue with starting. Has new battery cables and new fully charged battery reading 12.87v

when cold it starts right up but when engine is warm it cranks too slowly to fire. Thought this was a CCA issue tries a bigger battery but same issue. When engaging starter I am only getting 11v at the spade connector on the starter solenoid (b/w wire). Battery charge is still at 12.8v

so I suspect a low voltage issue which is enough to crank engine when cold but not enough when hot. any ideas on where to look?

You have 11 volts at the spade on the starter. Is this both hot (when not cranking fast enough) and cold (when it does start)? Have you tried applying battery voltage directly to the spade when it's hot and see what happens?
