I have a 2018 or 2019 ZD1211. It has just over 200 hours. Used it last week and worked fine. Jumped on it yesterday to a no crank /start condition. The display lights up as normal but reads SER 1 and nothing when I turn the key.
I pulled the battery and it is good. Checked all fuses to be good, Test the 3 relays to be good.
Any ideas before I have to go to dealer.
Thanks

Sit in seat and pump the parking brake pedal hard while trying to crank the engine. Mine was a bad micro safety switch, I sprayed it down with silicone spray and it would work for several weeks and then had to do the brake pedal kick start method. I did eventually replace the safety switch and it has been fine for the last couple of years.

Correction its a ZD1211. Appreciate your response. I went out looking at the brake pedal and found a connector hanging free. I'm guessing there is/was a pressure switch that engaged when the brake pedal is applied. I see where it would have been mounted but its no longer there.
I wonder what the heck happened to it.

My switch location is above and in front of the deck on the left side.
It is pretty well protected so hopefully it just came unplugged.

No its gone. It broke off at the base. Last week I found a switch on the ground. Not knowing I was missing one (LOL) I tossed it. I thought it was some old trash the rain washed up from the ground.

I rigged up a momentary toggle switch and some blade connections and secured in the connector. Just have to flip the switch to indicate the parking brake is on to start it until a new switch comes in.
Thanks for the suggestions!

LOL, this happens all the time to me at work. We fix stuff. People in this VERY large bldg bring us stuff and when we say: "Where did the such and such go to, it seems to be missing?" they say: "Oh we saw that on the floor and didn't know what it was, so we just tossed it out.

Sorry - it just hit close to home. I know it's not actually funny, but struck a chord with me.

Ingenious repair though. Good for you !
