ZD 25 Mower Knob

I've looked online for a owner manual for a ZD 25,can't find one to download.Just wondering what the knob does that is below the center of the front seat,above the floor.The one I'm working on is stuck,won't turn either way.Any suggestions?Thanks

It adjusts the seat spring tension for people of different weights. It probably needs some penetrating oil. You might need to ne off of the seat to adjust it.

Not the seat knob.This is a big heavy knob,almost on the floor.Has something to do with the deck,I believe.

Height of cut knob. Try raising the deck to the top and then try to rotate the knob

On the TG1860 lawn tractor there is a lever to bring the deck up to full height.

When you pull the deck to full height it takes the pressure off the mechanism the knob actuates. Then you turn the knob to the desired cutting height, then let release the lever to let the deck ride at your selected height.

Maybe your functions the same way.
