How hot did it get and for how long? Have you check to be sure the radiator is good and clean? If it got hot enough to not start, you might have a serious problem. Give us more details
Sounds like a solenoid is not activating - we have a JD gator that does the same thing, gets hot and just clicks, nothing related to battery in this case.
DID you ever have this problem with the OLD starter? Solenoid may not be the problem - could be the "new" starter.
Sorry for the delay. I let it sit fired right up got home and it was dead on the trailer. Luckily my key switch I ordered had come so just to see I put the new key switch on and it fired up. I'm hoping it was the key switch
I hear this complaint from time to time. If it's the same thing as I usually see, you can install a John Deere starter relay kit, which should alleviate the issue. JD part # AM107421.
