Z725 with 350hrs wont track straight and is very hard to control, even at lower speeds. I noticed that the right side control has a couple inches of play in it. where as the left keeps constant pressure when I push all the way forward and pull back. are there adjustments I can make or is the pump getting weak? or is there something else causing these problems. any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Not sure how your linkage is set up, but make sure all your control linkages are
Connected and nothing is loose. If it runs twin pumps, check fluid level and condition.

yes it runs dual pumps, and fluid levels are good to factory specs. the linkage is exactly the same on both sides but the right side has like I said 2" or so of slack in it. example: if I'm sitting on it and I push both control arms to the full, the second I pull back the left side has pressure the right side is slack for at least 2" and I know this is causing my problems with not having control, because they are both not operating the same! I just don't know if I can fix it or it needs to go to the shop. I have watched a couple of videos on how to fix this on other machines (Dixie chopper, toro, etc...) but nothing for Kubota.

I think I have heard that some models of early Kubota ZTR's have a problem with a swash plate, in the motor(s) on the transaxle, but don't remember the models, cause I don't own one, and don't really absorb info that is not related to something I actually own. I think I saw it on Lawnsite, a coupla years ago...:D:D

I am thinking that your steering dampener has failed. Easily replaceable. If you look closely you will probably find the failed one is leaking oil around the shaft.
