So, it's parked in a horse barn which means hay, which means mice. My bird dogs mouse around and pulled a wire off the Z. At this point I'm pretty sure it went to the hour meter. Any advice on how to tear it apart and fix it?

I have 5 cats that take care of most mice in my barn where I keep my tractor and mower. I also put out some d-con and traps for those few that the cats miss.

Thus far I haven't had any problems. Knock on wood.

Stopped by my local Orange shop and looked at a new Z. One spade end comes from just above the oil filter, which I knew. The other goes to a six pin (5 wires) connector underneath your left hip. My guess is either an oil pressure safety switch or hour meter but an easy fix.

We're cutting every four days this time of year. The Z has made a 45 minute job into a 20 minute one, nice! D-Con, cats and German Shorthairs don't mix. One of the three will get one of the others.

....and apparently none of them are getting your rodents. Same issues here too, rodent damaged wiring has been too common lately.
