Hi I have a RCK60P-400Z (also known as Z421). It stopped moving forward or reverse. When I looked, the high tension spring was on the ground and as i was looking further i saw a shrouded belt hanging down. I have looked on all the parts diagrams and can not seem to locate a diagram of that belt. Could anyone direct me to that? I don't yet know what the part (belt) is called. Thanks for any advice I have got to try and fix myself as the shop is 120$ PER HOUR. RICK

Thanks so much MOOT! Gonna go check it out now

Hey Moot, UPDATE.

Because you pointed it out, i now realize I was looking at the deck belts, but this is the drive belt for the HST, right? I kept thinking this was the belt on the deck oh well good excuse Im old. LOL

Would it be easier to get the belt on if I take the mower deck off? I think the tension bar, grooved nuts and spring are ok, but i will probably need the belt.
Thanks
Rick

Yes. K3072-13560 is the HST belt.

From my experience on other different tractors, the deck will have to be off to replace the HST transmission drive belt. It is up in the frame above the deck belt and hard to even see it with the deck on.

I have never taken the deck off to put a hst belt on those. The belt, yes but never the deck itself.

the belt only goes one way, you have to kinda figure it out since there is not really a diagram. Remember the spring puts tension on the back side (flat side) of the belt via the tensioner pulley. Just put the belt around all 3 pulleys and you'll figure out where the tensioner goes. Taking the clutch off helps in some ways but the engine pulley will tend to fall down too.
