Neil is back with a $27K lawnmower to show. He covers the new engine and compares to the various models in the Z series. Wow! That's a lot of cabbage!

for the PILE of coins ( $36Kanucks) I'd expect a sunshade.... none offed according to the Cdn website, just a chute control ...

you'd have to have a HUGE lawn and nothing else to do to to buy it, or a business, though all here run gas for lots of reasons

especially since it has DPF/ emissions KRAP on it.....
yeah 'new' engine...wonder what 'bugs' it'll have ???

I guese I just don't understand why anyone would buy it. I mean it seems like a nice machine but for 27k? For only a 60" cut? You can buy several zero turns for that money. Many would have wider decks. Most would be just as durable. You could pick up an F series cheaper and have probably a more capable machine.

Or you could buy a tractor with a brush hog. For a few grand more you could buy a lx2610 with cab and a 10' batwing to run behind it. Get an L or a B series instead and you can pick up a cheap zero turn too for the trim work.

Mabey I'm the odd one here but I just don't understand it.

So did my toro at 1/10th the price is what I'm getting at.

And for what? Save a few bucks on fuel and belts? Over 20k difference buys a hell of alot of fuel and belts.
To each their own.
On my place that unit would rock.
Yes I agree a 4wd F with a cab of the same HP would be better for me as it could also snow duty.
but an F in the same category will run me $35K, but it would be nice!

More specifically, you can buy seven basic zero turns that size and just throw them out every time you need to service it. Broke a belt? Eh get a new one. Blades dulled? It's pretty risky picking those things up, better get a new one. Due for an oil change? That can get real messy. Just grab a different one.

Or buy just one cheap one then pick up a Ford Maverick and a cheapo trailer to tow it home with. Alternatively, ou could buy a ferris and put a cab with A/C on it. Those are just some of the options buying all new that I didn't mention in one of my previous posts.

Btw, an F series is virtually the same money or cheaper depending on how irs outfitted with 4wd models starting at 24k. I mean if you outfit it right it might be more but so would this one.

I guess a Ferris IS 6200 is not on your shopping list either. MSRP for the 72" 48HP Cat turbo-diesel ZTR starts at a biscuit under $38K.

If you are willing to give up some HP you could save a few bucks by sticking with Toro. The 7500-D with 25HP Yanmar diesel and 72" deck is only $32K.

You can get an even better deal with promotional pricing on their new 44HP, 144" cut model. Pre-order one today for only $84K - thats $10K off MSRP!!!

Covid-flation is nuts

No way I'd shell out CDN$36K for a ZTR - that's $17/lb

You can get a 2023 kx080-4 for $150K - works out to under $9/lb

As a comparison I paid CDN$10K for my zd326 new when I bought it in 2010 - that was a premium at $5.6/lb

We need a recession

Probably the same BS Amazon USA does.
Sad thing is 'they' don't know I'm a 'snowbird' or have dual citizenship, and need to buy equipment for my properties 'down south'.
I shouldn't have to do ANYTHING,like runarounds, to gain access to their website

How big a deal is it to configure a proxy? Takes sbout 30 seconds on a Windows system. Once it's setup you can toggle it on/off even quicker.

I shouldn't HAVE do it !
That's my 'B'.....
I should be able to visit the website, 'build my tractor', to get a ballpark price, then call dealers in the USA, order and BUY a tractor have it delivered, to my USA location ,ALL from Canada,eh.

I can place orders with Digikey,USA and have parts delivered into the USA...nooooo problem..
I can place sample orders with Microchip,USA and they courier them from Thailand within a week, noooo problem

I SHOULD be able to go to Kubota,USA and do the same...

Now I'm wondering, if I'm in Florida as a 'snowbird' IF I can actually get into Kubota Canada.

I cannot connect to Kubota Canada from a US based IP address. It's easy snd costs nothing to mask your address.
