i bought one of those plastic 15 gallon emergency water barrels. on one side i drilled a hole through the screw in cap. inserted a clear plastic hose through it and a wire for power. i connected a 12v fuel pump on the end of the clear hose, which sits at the bottom of the barrel..
near the open end of the hose, i have a toggle switch for the pump and from there i have a lead with battery clamps. when i need fuel i just drive next to the barrel and hook things up and pump the fuel. when the barrel is empty. i load the barrel up in the pickup and using the other screw in cap filler up.
now getting the full barrel out of the truck is interesting. if i don't have help, i use a come-a-long to lift it with the built in handles on top. drive the truck out from under it. then lower it to the ground and roll it a couple feet to the storage area.

yooper - that is brilliant with the cam idea btw!!!!:D:)

And Russell - never seen that before - might be onto something there with that design.....maybe a little too $$$$ - but the idea is excellent however.

I am like skeets - IF I cannot modify it to make it pour correctly and somewhat safely, I dont need it !!!!

If anyone is interested, I have three more cams with the mounts if you have the same fuel can. Not looking to make any money off them. I will send it to you free. Just PM me.

And thank you for the compliment Hokie!
