Hi Everyone
The radio in my B2650 Cab Tractor has stopped working. The sound is weak and distorted. Would anyone have a schematic diagram for it. It’s made by REI, model CD-5000 AM/FM/CD WX.
It is used in other Kubota Tractor as well.
Thank you

Call REI 402.339.2200 | 800.228.9275 and see if they can provide a schematic for the radio. If it stopped working I’d open it up and look for a replaceable fuse. If it’s only weak and distorted sound then I’d use a good 4-8 ohm speaker that can take up to 50w to make sure it’s not the el cheapo speakers Kubota installed that are causing the problem after I finished checking out the wire connectors for corrosion and a tight connection. Sometimes the media itself is the problem. My LX2610 has the REI VR-5650 and it hates my Waylon Jennings CD and will only use the left speaker until I put the Molly Hatchet CD on then it uses both speakers.

'stopped working' ?
so nothing..should mean inline fuse is kaput, or Kubota fuse is kaput.
You should NOT have to open up the radio to replace an internal fuse.
The WSM should have the wiring diagram for your tractor and show the 'radio' connector . Simply disconnect it and ring out +12 and confirm radio IS getting power.

Thanks to all for the responses to my REI CD-5000 Radio problem. The display lights up so I believe it’s getting power. There is some sound audible, but is weak and distorted. As per Lug66 suggestion, I’ll try a set of known good speakers to isolate the tractor built in units. Having it on my workbench, I will be able to do further testing.
Thanks to everyone for your troubleshooting assistance. I will reply with any updates.
