Long shot here, but anyone have a B670 backhoe bucket they're not using & want to get rid of? (preferably wide, 16" plus)
I need to scrape some sloped areas leaving a decent finish & contour others, leaving the same decent finish. I have a 10" & 14" now, but they both have teeth, and they tear things up too much. I hate to cut the teeth off mine just for this one job, but if I had another bucket....

Maybe a bucket from a similar sized hoe or excavator that I could adapt?

Most of the Kubota backhoe buckets I have used, the teeth are bolted on.

Bump.
I'll (hopefully) be making a trip back east in a couple months, where all things tractor-related seem much more plentiful & cheaper than here. I'm going to take photos & pertinent dimensions on my bucket, & maybe I can find one that will work, without having to take out a second mortgage.

Hi Bill! With all your fabricating ability I am surprised that you don't fabricate a scraper type blade to fit over the bucket teeth.......I know easier said than done!

Hi Dave- When all is said & done, it may come to that. The problem for me these days is time- we've become the primary caregivers/chauffeurs/maintenance man/
insurance & medicare specialists/shoppers/medical equipment specialists/psychologists/etc. for the FIL & MIL, and our time is not our own these days. The worst part is the wife has FIVE sisters & brother who do nothing to help. Their excuse:
"Hey, if I help out, that would interfere with my life!"
I'm (hopefully) making a trip back east in a couple months, where there seems to be much more tractor-related equipment available at better prices. Fingers crossed.
As a side note, I've been watching fleabay, craigslist, offerup, & letgo for buckets and the range of prices (and sizes) has been amazing-$175 to $6500.
It's doubtful I'll find one that will pin directly on, so I'll probably have to modify either mine or another one to fit.

I feel your pain! We took in my father in-law a few years back and it's amazing how once you take the reins on something like this the rest of the family seems to act like "oh well, they got this under control" And no one want's to help out even when you ask!

I hope things get easier for you but just know you are doing a great thing stepping up and taking care of your family like this!

Good Luck on finding a bucket.......if you find anything up around my way and need someone to pick it up and ship it to you cause the seller doesn't want to, just let me know and I will go pick it up and get it to you!

Best Regards,
Dave

Bump. My trip back east (way too rushed) yielded no results, so I thought a bump might help.
