Hello,

I have a L3450. I am in need of new rear tires. I always knew something was a miss because in 4wd i had drag.

OEM calls for 12.4-24s (45"dia) I have 17.5-24s (49"dia)

I was going to buy the 12.4s but they call for a much narrower rim. My 17.5s are on a 15 inch wide rim.

any ideas for a non $$$$ option would be great. My thought is putting a tube in the rear and increasing the size of the fronts a little if i can figure out the math. My guess is the front tires are cheaper than new rear tires and rims.

Thanks,
Chris

Interesting, I have an L3250 that has 13.6 x 24's on the rear and I think 7.3 x 16 on the front. Factory, I'm sure.

What size are your front tires?
the fronts are Denman skid steer plus 10-16.6 (30.4" dia). when i look at the part list, there ar a handull of tires listed for the front. the 10-16.5 are one of them so i guess it is right?

My horrible math calculates i need a 33" dia tire for the front.

12.4-24 = 45"
45"x 3.14 = 141 circumference.

141 divided by the correct 10-16.5 (30.4") = a ratio of 4.6480"

If i take my incorrect 17.5-24s

17.5-24 = 49 dia
49 x 3.14 = 153
153 / 4.6480 ratio = 33"

Does this math seem right?

only proble with this approach is it might require a bigger rim?
