Own a L2050 DT. Need to remove head. Have a CD, L2050 WSM.60350-O.
Absolutely NO information about removing head. Same as removing front gear case. NO info about needing to drop front axle to clear case. The 'manual' is nearly useless.

You folks that work on these tractors..any manual out there that actually gives real life information on removal/replace ? You know..something besides "remove head...replace head " ? This manual appears to be Kubota..but less helpful then a Clymer or Chiltons manual for cars.

Thanks, D2 !! I realized that the head wasn't too complicated, looking it over. The real problems arise when one runs across the oddity..the 'special' way every engineer and every make/model manages to confuse us old country boys.
UPDATE; You may remember my earlier posts, requesting info on water in the oil. Life managed to get in the way, and only got back on project a couple days ago. Replaced the front freeze plug, reassembled, poured water into radiator..and as fast as I poured it in, it ran into the oil pan.
Okay..what was a trickle was now a flash flood.
The only thing left to do, jerk the head off and reveal a massive break in the head/block. With heavy heart, I pulled fuel lines, etc, then the valve cover, then the rockers.
WHAT DID MY WONDERING EYES BEHOLD !!! A freeze plug, canted in its' hole, top of the head !!
Now, its off to the nearest Kubota dealer, 50 miles away..because one of the valve stem 'rollers' is also missing !

Did you have them order the parts? If not you can call Coleman Implement and they will ship it to you. The are usually pretty fast because they order from the warehouse about two times a day!

The smaller dealers may order once per week, and if you want something quicker you have to pay the freight.

Ordered from Mountain Grove dealer. Claimed the stuff came out of Kansas City, 'be here tomorrow'...we shall see. Supposed to run a truck every day.
I priced the 'cap,valve' from a couple of the big online dealers..about 3 bucks..but shipping ran 5 to 8 dollars , with 5-7 day shipping !
