I have a woods backhoe on my kubota and I am leaking fluid from the area of the boom cylinder. I am having difficulty detecting where the leak is coming from as it's almost impossible to see in there. Any suggestions

If the oil is coming from up around the cylinder it could be from the upper hose connection or a hose that supplies the bucket cylinder. Just had mine mostly apart over the winter. I would think that you would have to lower the boom over the edge of a high wall to remove the boom cylinder without removing the hoe from the tractor. Not the easiest thing to work on.
On a side note I found that the hose clamp bolts on the dipper for the bucket cylinder were too long and were wearing into the bucket cylinder. I replaced with shorter bolts.
