Need to remove only the bucket off the front end loader.

Woods Front end loader 1012 : tractor is at our camp and the bucket needs some weld repair.

Was up there this weekend and snapped these pics before I left..... But ..so i can prepare.... just wondering what's involved with with removing just the front bucket to bring it home.

My manual doesn't really give a good description on how the remove it.... just that its a standard Pin-on bucket.

There are 4 pins that have to be removed: 2 on each side.

The little bolt keeps the pin from sliding out sideways. Remove the nut to allow the pin to slide sideways. Remove the 4 pins.

In theory, very simple. In practice, depends on how stuck the pins are and how much of a bind they’re in while you’re trying to remove them.

Use a large diameter drift pin punch and a 5 lb hammer. Park your tractor on level ground and unload the pins. Take out the top pins first.

If you are lucky and grease your pins regularly the bottom two pins will slide out nicely. In reality the third pin will slide out and the last pin will be a bugger. A long crow bar might help you level the bucket to get the last pin out.

Final advice: Don't beat on the pins with your hammer, once you mushroom the heads you are SOL. Wear your steel toes shoes and long pants.
