It was actually a blessing in disguise. It was an old phone that I had been thinking about replacing. It was backed up so the only thing lost was a couple before pictures of the stump and a couple hundred bucks. Being phoneless for 36 hours was more uncomfortable than I would like to admit....Yikes!! Now that would reall suck and make for a bad day!!
Here is an after picture taken with the new phone. There used to be a 2-1/2 foot stumpthere.Yikes!! Now that would reall suck and make for a bad day!!
The blonde pup is only a year and a half old and likes to eat charcoal and chew on the charred ends of sticks from the burn piles. I suspect she is going to be a single malt Scotch abuser when she gets older....Hmmm. Gets rid of the old stump and leaves you with two nice looking pups!
That's some grinder!
You still have a stump there, it is just a bit further down into the ground. I had some stumps ground about 15 years ago, and now they are starting to rot and the ground is settling where they were. Still a lot easier than trying to dig them out. Here is an after picture taken with the new phone. There used to be a 2-1/2 foot stumpthere.

Nope. That particular stump is gone. It was ground out in stages reducing grade and widening the circle to get the rootball as I went. Grade in that area is almost two feet lower than when I started. Took over an hour. You still have a stump there, it is just a bit further down into the ground. So sorry about the phone. There are a couple YouTube videos of the grinder on a BX. It seems to work fine on the stumps they tackled. I just tackled a much larger one Friday - maybe 30" across at the cut and easily 6' root circle. The main portionwent easy but the root system really worked the L3901 over.
