I'm looking into purchasing a woood chipper to run off of the PTO of my Kubota MX5400. So far I've been focusing on WoodMaxx but someone also pointed my out to Woodland Mills. Does anyone have any preferences between these two manufacturers? Are there others I should consider?

I have a Woodland Mills WC88. I have used it for 2 years now, no issues. Good build quality, hydraulic chute control. Eats everything I throw at it. I know lots of folks are happy with WoodMaxx as well. Both great options in my opinion.

Have always heard Wallenstein makes top quality stuff but most here seem to either have Woodmaxx or Woodland Mills. Never heard anything negative about either. Nothing but good things to say about Woodland Mills performance, build quality, and support.

Salsco is made in CT and up there in quality.

I run a Valby made in Finland and it’s up there in quality too.

I have always heard good things about Woodland Mills, but I bought a WoodMaxx MX series. For my tractor and needs, the MX-8500G+ was my choice - simple, effective and a good price. I value that it was made in the US. FWIW, the buying, shipping, delivery and actual performance of the chipper was/is great.

We have a Woodmax WM8H chipper.
I have put about 20 hours on it in the last year.
I know it is made in China.

Woodland Mills WC-68 here, hydraulic feed (a must) and built like a tank. Priced VERY competitively as well. I'll admit, I was leaning towards a WoodMaxx but lucked into a like-new Woodland Mills and never looked back. Great unit, no regrets, definitely worth a look.

I’m a big fan of the WoodMax MX chippers, most important feature is the dual hydraulic infeed rollers. I’ve never owned a Woodland Mills but a number of threads on here discuss infeed issues experienced by owners.

I run my Mx 9900 chipper for many 8 hour days, it is a beast and is super productive.

One of the things that I like about the Woodmax is the cutting wheel turns at 1100 rpm. Helps with blowing the chips out.

I would not even consider a chipper without hydraulic feed
