Hi, looking for some help. I have a 2015 B26 TLB, I live in Utah and it’s just gotten cold. I’ve only had the tractor for two winters. Last winter I stored it in a friends barn. This winter it’s been outside as we are almost done with our house and I will put it in the garage when it’s finished. I went out to start it the other day and it wouldn’t start. Initially it ran for about 20 seconds and then it seems to be starved A fuel. I can’t remember but the glass fuel filter on the side of the tractor is that supposed to be full of fuel all the way? It’s about halfway full now. I open the fuel tank lid and could see I had fuel and in fact it looked frozen on the surface. I am not sure if somehow water got in there or this is some thing possible with diesel fuel. It looks slushy. I inserted the end of a clean broom handle and it wasn’t frozen solid by any means. I added some fuel additive to the tank. I’m wondering if the fuel lines are frozen? I hope water didn’t get into the fuel system somehow. I am a rookie sorry if I’m asking dumb questions.

How cold is it? Certainly sounds like your fuel is gelling due to cold temperatures. Additive to the tank, even if what you added has anti gelling properties, will likely not solve a gelling issue in the fuel lines.
You may have to figure out a way to warm the tractor up a bit so the fuel in the lines goes back to it normal state. Tarp over the tractor and a space heater?
Maybe someone else will have a better idea?

thanks for the feedback. I think a tarp with a space heaters a good idea. I’ll look into that today... in the last week it’s gotten down to the high teens for temperature maybe 18 or 19 degrees... warms up to the 30s during the day.
Sounds like its gelling up. As Henro suggested, that`s about all you can do, for now.
Get some Power Service 911 and try that and see if you can get it going.

When you go to add fuel this time of year it will be treated when you buy it. So use the 911 additive then get the engine running, then add treated fuel (from a local truck stop) and you should be fine. Always remember in the Fall of the year to monitor the fuel usage so you can end up with a tank of TREATED fuel, not un-treated (as you have now).
