Good Day Everyone
First time poster and owner of a kubota BX25D.
Awesome sight!
I bought 2 rubber housed tractor lights to mount on the ROPS.
There is only 1 wire from the lights so the ground is in the mount.
I was going to tap into the tail lights for power and assumed the ROPS
would be ok as a ground, it is not! I dont want to scratch the paint either.
I have run a wire from the light to a battery and a ground wire from the light base to the neg on the battery it works.
I have touched the ground wire all over the place on the rear of the unit but cant find a ground anywhere.
Only 2 months old has an oil leak
Cant find a ground
Is this thing haunted or what
other than this very happy with the machine and the blower.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Also did I mention my extreme hatred for wiring
Thanks all
Jake

One of 2 options, remove some paint or run a ground back to a good ground location.
The tail lights work so they have a good ground.
So no your tractor is not haunted, it's just you and your "Hatred" of wiring. :p

Ah I will try the tail lights again maybe a crappy connection
which is par for the newly rekindled hatred
Thanks

It's the paint acting as an insulator;)

Glad you are wiring some lights to the BX25D, there are many posts here on OTT about ROPS lights. I have recently found 3 wires under the rear left fender near the 3pt as shown in the attacted picture. Black wire with male pin is ground, red with black stripe (female pin) is always hot even with key off, and the red with the blue stripe (female pin) has a factory white tape with the letters (RL) is only on when the key is on. I assume the latter means ROPS lights. Hope this helps some BX25D owners out there who would like to install some LED lights.

The ones I am using are bright, very bright and are connected to the constant hot wire with a switch box so can put them on before having to start the engine or accessory switch (mostly in a dark garage).

Will be glad to help with any questions.
