had friend in North Bay used vaseline on the chrome bumpers( yeah real chrome bumpers).Looked like new every spring when powerwashed off.

Hazardous Freight has pretty decent "portable garages" for a good price. That is probably the route I'll go as my collection grows. My friend and I put one up at his place. We replaced the tarp top with corrugated metal roofing. Under $1000 for everything including roof and RR ties for the base.

I heard that Vaseline will freeze solid..... in North Bay.

Okay, I've ordered some Fluid Film. Read lots of reviews and it left me with a question. do you apply this to painted surfaces?

The good thing about Fluid Film is that it can be sprayed on just about anything and help preserve it. I apply a mist most anywhere and a heavier coat where there is bare metal.
