Up here in Northeastern Maine winter has been long and hard. In fact we still have a lot of snow on the ground. And not just a few inches we have feet on my garden spot. So I have done some work on my tractor this winter.

First I had a couple of hoses leaking and replaced them, also the tail lights were broken when I bought the tractor so I was able to replace one of them. The dealer only had one so I'll check when I go back to the city. (unless someone knows where I can get one online) I also replaced the rear reflector.

I also made a set of forks this winter, still need to spray them with some self etching primer and a top coat of Kubota Orange.

Looks good, but I'd recommend closing the ends of the forks, or you'll be scooping up dirt every time you pick up anything not on pavement. Don't ask me how I know.

I tapered the bottoms of my forks, they will slide instead of taking soil samples. Slip into pallets easier.also handy for getting tips into narrow gaps to pick items.

Mine are round, and they welded caps on the ends, as shown in the photo. The yellow paint on the tips improves visibility a little also.

I do intend to enclose the ends, I have some 10ga just for that.
